Let me finish with a report on Skystar PC DVB cards. I am sending you a summary and an appendix – on Skystar 2 rev. 2.8. When this revision was launched, Technisat released the “Skystar USB2” model where it used a Conexant tuner/demodulator. I had a hunch that the 2.8 revision might be similarly affected – and my concerns proved founded. I wanted to know what SR 1 – 45 and tuner sensitivity look like in practice. I prepared a table with the most important information for those who would like to buy a product from the Skystar series.The cards Skystar HD and HD2 have the most sensitive tuners. They are, however, not suitable for setting up a dish because they give the wrong signal strength percentage due to BDA drivers. I recommend the 2.3 revision for setting up a dish.

V case vydania rev2.8 technisat vydal Skystar USB2 v ktorom bol pouzity conexant tuner/demodulator.Tusil som ze v 2.8 moze ist tiez o conexant co sa mi nakoniec potvrdilo. Zaujimalo ma ako SR 1-45 a citlivost tunera vyzera v praxi.V tabulke pre tych co si chcu zakupit jednu z skystar serie uvadzam vsetko najdolezitejsie.Najcitlivejsi tuner maju karty skystar HD a HD2, ktore ale nie su vhodne na nastavovanie paraboly pretoze percentualne vyhodnotenie signalu maju nespravne, co je sposobene BDA ovladacmi. Na nastavovanie paraboly odporucam skystar2 rev2.3.
