I've got a unique review of a satellite PC card called Skystar HD DVB-S2 for your website. There's been a lot of talk about this card lately, however, I haven't found any proper review on the Net.That's why I'm glad that I can at last bring Skystar HD's possibilities closer to fans through your dxsatcs.
    I've purchased this card because I like all new things and I wanted to see for myself what it was like.The main video decoder is Philips SAA7146, the DVB-S/2 demodulator is STB 0899,tuner STB6100 and LNB voltage regulator is LNBP21PD.I have tested the card in Windows Vista. Having installed the drivers and the "Technisat Center" software, I finally got to what I was most interested in. Several channels are already being broadcast using the DVB-S2 standard. Everybody else would just lose interest, but to see a true DVB-S2 system is really worth it. I am enclosing some photos for you to enjoy.
    I was interested in the technical aspects of the card as well. I haven't expected much of the tuner but I was surprised. Compared to Samsung TBDU18112 IMT /skystar2 rev 2.3/ or Samsung TBMU 24112 IMB /skystar2 rev 2.6/ the Skystar HD tuner seems to be more sensitive. I have tested it using the Nilesat 7W satellite; it is quite commom that in the evening no reception of the 11766H transpoder signal is possible using the Kovosat 140 dish. With Skystar HD I got picture without any delay and for example BBC World was watchable. The fact that the card is not working with low SR is a major drawback with further implications on DVB-S reception.Watching Skystar HD process the signal reminded me of my first satellite card called Skystar2 rev2.6: SR lower that 4000 was either detected after 5 to 10 seconds or not at all.
    As far as the software is concerned, I consider it highly compatible because if works without any problems with Windows Vista and favourite applications of most satellite PC card fans ProgDVB, DVBdream a Mytheatre.
   
    On the whole, I assess the card as outstanding for the typical user. It is the first DVB-S2 PC card available on our market and priced at the acceptable 4 300 SK. I am satisfied with it and others will certainly appreciate it as well.

   Ahoj roman,mám pre tvoj web jedinečnú recenziu satelitnej pc karty Skystar HD DVB-S2. O tejto karte sa veľa hovorí avšak žiadnu kvalitnú recenziu som na nete doteraz nevidel, preto som rád že prostredníctvom tvojho dxsatcs konečne priblížim fanúšikom pc sat kariet možnosti skystar HD.
    Túto kartu som si zakúpil lebo mám rád všetko nové na trhu a tiež som chcel konečne vedieť aká je.Ako hlavný video dekodér je Philips SAA7146, DVB-S/2 demodulátor STB 0899, tuner ST 6100, LNB napäťový regulátor LNBP21PD.Kartu som testoval pod windows vista, po nainštalovaní ovládačov a "technisat center" softveru som sa dostal k tomu čo ma najviac zaujímalo.V norme DVB-S2 vysiela zopár kanálov ako každý mávne rukou, ale vidieť prave pravý dvb-s2 systém naozaj stojí za to. Posielam zopár fotiek pre potešenie.Karta ma zaujimala tiež po technickej stránke, od tunera som veľa nečakal, ale bol som prekvapený.V porovnani s Samsung TBDU18112 IMT /skystar2 rev 2.3/, alebo Samsung TBMU 24112 IMB /skystar2 rev 2.6/ je tuner Skystar HD citlivejší.Testoval som ho na družici nilesat 7W, kde je bežne že sa na transponderi 11766H vo večerných hodinách na anténe kovosat 140 ani len nerozbehne obraz. So Skystar HD mi obraz nabehol bez čakania a napr BBC world bol pozerateľný. Pre prijem dvb-s je veľké mínus pre túto kartu rozlúsknuť nízke SR. Spracovanie SR u skystar hd mi pripomenulo moju prvú sat kartu Skystar2 rev2.6, kde SR pod 4000 bud načítalo po 5 - 10 skundách alebo vôbec.Po softvérovej stránke ju hodnotím veľmi kompatibilnú kedže funguje bez problémov pod windows vista a tiež pod obľúbenym softvérom večšiny fanúšikov sat pc kartiet ProgDVB, DVBdream a Mytheatre.
    Vcelku hodnotim kartu ako vynikajúcu pre bežného užívateľa. Ide o prvú dvb-s2 pc kartu dostupnú na našom trhu,v prijateľnej cene /4300sk/. Som s ňou spokojný a určite ju ocenia aj iní, ktorým ju možem len doporučiť.
